Biography
Prayas Gupta is the Chief Technical Officer for BESS, Solar & Transmission (Asia & Africa) at Ric Energy Group, with over 18 years of international experience spanning high-voltage power transmission, utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), and renewable energy infrastructure. Based in Dubai, he has led complex projects across ±500kV HVDC, 765kV, and 132kV systems, delivering large-scale solar and storage initiatives with precision and operational excellence. His career includes leadership roles at IndiGrid, Adani Transmission, and Power Grid Corporation of India, where he successfully executed India’s first standalone, utility-connected BESS project and drove asset reliability and regulatory excellence across large national power networks.
